BUGADIER JAR, LAVENDER COLLAR
- this wide shaped vase is an ideal for planter for small trees (olive, bay etc) with shrubs
- Bugadier jars were originally used in Provence, S of France, for ‘bugade’ (laundry) as well as for storage jars typically for flour, olives or oil
- antique Provence patina and with coloured glaze around the collar
- Bugadier Pot is decorated with a braided motif typical of Provence
- crafted by hand using the rope wheel technique of pottery making, the imprint of the rope is permanently marked on the inside
- each jar is personally stamped by the craftsman we commissioned to create this piece, making each jar unique
- each jar is fitted with a large hole at the bottom for proper drainage.
